10 Untruths About Dreadlock
In some countries that is still rural there is a few myths about dreadlocks.

Dreadlocks, also called locks or dreads, are heavy matted coils of hair which form by themselves(neglect method) or with the help hair products. This is possible in all hair types if the hair is allowed to grow naturally without grooming or conditioning for a long period of time. This does not exclude regular removal of debris, as in most hair types oil produced by the scalp prevents the necessary matting, inhibits coil formation, and may result in a polish plait. Dreadlocks can also be intentionally formed; because of the variety of different hair textures, various methods are used to encourage the formation of locks such as backcombing sections of the hair, twisting or a process involving the weaving of the hair with a crochet hook to form knots.
Dreadlocks are associated most closely with the recent Rastafari movement, but people from many groups in history before them have worn dreadlocks, including the Hindu Shiva worshippers of India, historic European peoples, and the Sufis of Pakistan.

1. Dreadlocks stink - You need to wash your dreadlocks more than usual hair so usualy you will smell nice shampoo.Ofcourse there is allways exeptions.
2. Dreadlocks do not wash - Anyone who does not wash dreadlocks would not be able to survive the disgusting itch, but there are exceptions that get used over time. Dreadlocks needs washing because better formating of them.
3. Dreadlocks are made by burning hair - No, dreadlocks are made in several ways but it does not burn hair. I have heard as aunts in the bus (when they see me) comment: Its the hair curled around the wire and then set on fire. - Let them burn their hair so, and you see how to make dreadlocks.
4. Ignition locks dreadlocks prevent relegation - There is a theory that Dredlock curled in alu-foil, and it catches fire and then all the blind and highlights do not fall out. Honestly, I tried this (I can) but we the people (who tried) said that only extra strinks (as indeed any hair when burnt) and a little melted hair, but its not what they expected.
5. Waxing dreadlocks locks prevent fallout - Wax will destroy your dreadlocks! Ok is at times a little, but just rub a little wax in the root of every Dreadlock. Think logically: wax retains moisture, if you put wax on dreadlocks and wash them from time to time it will be due to the constant humidity and heat (who has dreadlocks know that even in the winter and hot in the head:)) dreadlocks create mold, and who rarely wants dreadlocks moldy
6. Dreadlocks may only have black / those with curly hair - dreadlocks may have all. Blacks, whites, Chinese, Indians, those with curly, wavy and straight hair, black, brown, blue or green. The only benefit those with curly hair is that they will be largely self dreadlocks growing (new hair that grows) while those with flat hair need to manually finishing them.
7. When you want to remove dreadlocks must be cut to the bald - Why would have to cut to the bald? Absolutely all the people who have dreadlocks, have dreadlocks are the root of something undread hair - not Dredd directly from the head to grow. Simply cut the hair until the beginning of Dredd, you stay a few centimeters of hair that will indeed be a little strange, but after a couple of money:) money should be returned to normal. Here the advantage they have with flat hair - not only classifies dreadlocks a few months before and after removal of the same department dreadlocks ...
8. People who have dreadlocks are mainly drug addicts - Why would they? Since when hair determines what is a man? I know people who are teachers in schools and have dreadlocks. If someone has a little more relaxed and wants to be different does not mean that a drug addict.
9. In dreadlocks living kinds animals - Another falsehood. If properly maintained dreadlocks (read: wash), then practically no difference between undredd and woolly hair. I heard the story of one man that in dreadlocks of Bob Marley found 10 new species of lice, and from another man that was over 100, and the third to be about 1,000 new species of lice. Oh, but did not! Happened to me that get in some bugs in dreadlocks, but it removed or fall out when you wash your own hair.
10. Hair falls from the dreadlocks - hair in dreadlocks do not have much more weight than ordinary hair, except when it is soaked in water (then acts as a sponge) so you will not break your hair dreadlocks. Simply, if you are certain that at some age old boldhead it will happen or had dreadlocks. Also, it is true that many people sweating under the cap in the Army encourage or accelerate ballheading. So with dreadlocks and long hair affect the spacing and thining hair, and because dreadlocks people recommend to avoid sweating.
